Hi, all.
My aunt's company is doing a fundraiser in conjunction with the Utah Grizz. One of her co-workers is diagnosed with cancer, and the insurance won't pay for her meds. Yuck. She has hundreds of thousands in medical bills!!!
As a fundraiser, her work is selling tickets to the Grizz hockey game on Friday November 6th. Tickets are $15, and 1/2 of each ticket sold goes directly to pay for her bills.
This is a pretty good deal; tickets are usually in the $12 dollar range, so it's pretty reasonable for a seat, and you get to watch hockey!!! How cool is that?
Unfortunately, I need to know by Sunday if you are attending, and I need the money by next week.
Please tell all your family and friends. Hockey is good. Hockey for a good cause is even better!!!

As some of you may recall, a while back, I posted that my aunt was selling hockey tickets for charity. One of her co-workers was diagnosed with cancer, and her insurance wouldn't cover the meds. To help her out, the Grizzlies put aside a section where the profits would go to pay for this woman's treatment.
I am proud to say that out of everyone fundraising, my aunt raised the most money, and all of the tickets that she sold went to our group of friends! Seriously! My aunt has come to be known amongst her co-workers as "The Hockey Queen," even though she hates hockey.
It makes me happy to know that there are so many people out there willing to do a bit of good. Yeah, I know that it helps that I happen to be friends with a lot of hockey fans, but I'm still pretty impressed. I know that more than one person gave plasma or did odd jobs in order to get a ticket, so kudos to them!
Things like this really make me feel good about life!
